EXECUTE Phase: From Strategy to Action

A beautiful strategy that sits on a shelf is worthless. The EXECUTE phase turns your strategic choices into concrete action plans, assigns accountability, and sets up tracking systems to monitor progress.

Step 1: Craft Your Leadership Message

The leadership message is the single most important communication tool for your strategy. It follows the What / Why / How / How Much framework:

ElementWhat It AnswersExample
WHATWhat are we going to do?"We are transforming from a product company to a solutions company."
WHYWhy is this essential? What happens if we don't?"Customer needs have shifted to integrated solutions. Our product-only competitors are losing 15% share annually."
HOWHow will we do it?"By building consulting capabilities, bundling products with services, and training the sales team on solution selling."
HOW MUCHWhat does success look like?"Within 18 months: 40% of revenue from solutions, 90% customer retention, top-2 NPS in our category."

Working with the AI Advisor

The AI helps you draft and refine each element. A common workflow:

  1. Share your initial thoughts on each element
  2. The AI will suggest improvements, challenge vague language, and help you be more specific
  3. The final message is captured automatically as you refine it

Step 2: Assign Priority Owners

Every priority needs a single accountable owner. Navigate to the Weekly Alerts page from the dashboard to assign team members to priorities.

  1. For each of your 5 priorities, click Assign
  2. Select the team member who will own that priority
  3. Add optional notes about expectations
  4. Enable weekly alerts so they receive progress summaries
Principle: One owner per priority. Shared accountability is no accountability.

Step 3: Deploy AI Execution Workers

Execution Workers are specialized AI agents that generate department-specific action plans for each priority. Nine workers are available:

WorkerGenerates Plans For
MarketingCampaigns, content strategy, brand positioning, lead generation
SalesPipeline optimization, forecasting, customer acquisition
OperationsProcess optimization, efficiency improvements, automation
FinanceBudgets, forecasting, cost analysis, ROI modeling
HRWorkforce planning, talent development, hiring, culture
ProductRoadmaps, feature prioritization, user experience
Customer SuccessRetention strategies, satisfaction improvement, expansion
ITTechnology infrastructure, digital transformation, security
Project ManagementPlanning, coordination, delivery management

How to Use Workers

  1. Navigate to the Execution Dashboard
  2. Select a priority
  3. Click Get AI Recommendations to see which workers are suggested
  4. Run one or more workers to generate action plans
  5. Review the generated plans — each includes action items, timelines, resources, risks, and KPIs
  6. Apply the action items you want to track

Step 4: Track Execution

The Execution Dashboard provides comprehensive tracking. For each priority, you can monitor:

  • Milestones — Key checkpoints with target dates and completion status
  • KPIs — Measurable indicators with current values vs. targets
  • Gap Closure — Progress on closing the gaps defined in the ALIGN phase
  • Action Items — Specific tasks with owners, deadlines, and completion tracking
  • Risks — Identified risks with mitigation plans

Execution Health Score

The dashboard calculates an overall execution health score based on:

  • 40% — Milestone completion
  • 30% — KPI progress
  • 30% — Gap closure progress

Step 5: Weekly Summaries

Configured through the Weekly Alerts page, the platform sends automated email summaries to priority owners and leadership. These emails include:

  • Current phase progress
  • Key challenge and insights
  • Priority status with "ASSIGNED TO YOU" badges
  • Leadership message reminder
  • Action items that need attention

The Strategy-Execution Loop

Execution is not a one-time activity. As you implement, you will learn new things that may require adjusting your strategy. This is the Strategic Learning Loop — execute, learn, adapt. The platform supports this through:

  • Insight capture during execution
  • Strategic learning tracking
  • Periodic strategy reviews
